What is your cancellation policy?
- Reservations must be cancelled with 48 hours' notice, otherwise a 1-day charge for the vehicle will be charged to your account. If a reservation is not dispatched, a no-show, the reservation will be billed a 1-day charge.
What if I am late returning my vehicle?
- A one-hour grace period is given at the end of every rental period. Returning a vehicle after that hour will cause an additional day to be billed to the reservation.
What if I want to extend my reservation?
- Please call the Fleet Services office to extend your reservation and ensure the vehicle is not committed to another reservation.
Who is responsible for paying for tolls/tickets?
- Customers are responsible for paying tolls or tickets while the vehicle is in the customer's possession. If Fleet Services receives a toll/ticket in the mail tied to your reservation we will reach out and ask that you pay it. Department funds cannot be used to pay for tolls/tickets. Please report any tolls/tickets received during the return process for the vehicle.
Do I need to bring anything when checking a vehicle back in?
- Yes, you need to bring the keys to the vehicle along with the current (ending) mileage.
I forgot to get an item from my car upon returning my vehicle. Do you have a Lost and Found?
- Please call our dispatch office at (800) 555-5555, option 1. We will do our best to find it! Items left with us over 3 months ago will be donated to charity.
Last time I rented my fuel card was declined when I was traveling long distance. How can I prevent this from happening again?
- The fuel cards that each vehicle has have a maximum usage limit for daily use. When you're going on long distance trips, please let us know if you think you will need to fuel more often than normal so we can temporarily increase the limit.
Do I have to refuel the car upon return?
- Yes, vehicles that are returned having not been refueled are subject to a $25.00 refueling fee.
